Do you have gadgets lying around your house that you haven’t picked up in ages? Think iPods, cell phones, digital cameras, even video games. Then why not trade them in for some cold cash for the holidays. Here are a few trade-in programs you may want to consider to get cash quickly.

Gazelle: Just search for your gadget and Gazelle will tell you how much cash they will pay you. It’s even free to ship your electronics to Gazelle and you’ll receive a check a week after your items are received at Gazelle. On average, Gazelle customers earn around $115 for selling back unwanted electronics.

EZtradein.com: EZtradein.com is another site that will pay you for your old gadgets. Just get the value of your items, send them in (free) and you’ll get paid within about a week by check, PayPal or in the form of a Best Buy gift card.

MyBoneYard.com: Recycle monitors, game consoles, digital cameras and more. You’ll receive a prepaid shipping label to mail in your electronics, and will receive your trade-in value as a Visa Prepaid Card.

There are also several electronics trade-in programs that are affiliated with big box retailers, which will pay you in the form of gift cards for their stores.

Best Buy Trade-In: Use Best Buy’s Trade-In Estimator to figure out how much your unwanted electronics are worth, then print out a prepaid shipping label and mail your items to their trade-in center. Instead of cash, you’ll receive a Best Buy gift card within one to two weeks of receipt of your gadgets.

Walmart Electronics Trade-In: Walmart has teamed up with Gazelle to buy back your dated electronics. There’s free shipping and risk-free returns, and you’ll receive your money as a Walmart Prepaid Visa Card within just a few days. Costco has also partnered with Gazelle, and you’ll receive your trade-in value with them as a Costco Cash Card.

Sam’s Club Trade-In & Recycle Program: Sam’s Club has hooked up with ecoNEW for their electronics trade-in program. Shipping is free, as with the other programs, and you’ll receive the value of your trade-in as a Sam’s Club gift card within two weeks.

Several of these programs also enable you to donate the trade-in value to local charities.

Coinstar: Get a $10 Gift Card Bonus

Coinstar is doing it again this year. Cash in $40 in coins and get a free $10 gift card or eCertificate. This offer is good through 12/6.

Here’s what you do. Take $40 or more in change to your nearest Coinstar machine. At the bottom of your receipt you’ll find a claim form. Mail it in by 1/13/10 to:

Price Chopper shoppers, become a Facebook Fan of the supermarket chain to get exclusive coupons only available through Facebook. Click on the Coupon tab and this week you’ll find a $2/1 printable coupon to save on the club pack of boneless chicken breasts. New coupons will appear every Sunday.

Walgreens: Get 4 Packs of Huggies Diapers for $4.25 Each

Thanks to Lori at Moms by Heart for this hot tip on how to get four packs of Huggies diapers at Walgreens for just $4.25 per pack. Here’s what you do:

Buy 2 jumbo packs of Huggies Diapers at $8.99 each
Buy 2 jumbo packs of Huggies Little Movers at $8.99 each
Use 2 $2/1 printable coupons
Use 2 $1.50/1 printable coupons
Use $1/1 coupon from Walgreens Children’s Activity Book (will take off $4)
Final Price = $24.96

You’ll then need to pick up a small filler item, like a candy or pencil to bring your total over $25 before tax. Then use the $5/$25 in-ad Walgreens coupon. This will bring your total to just over $20 for four packs of Huggies diapers.

But wait, there’s more. Submit your receipt to The Caregivers Marketplace to get a $.75 rebate on each pack of diapers. Quick note that you cannot submit for your rebate until you’ve purchased at least five eligible items, so you may need to wait until your next purchase of baby care items, like Huggies, Pull-Ups and Balmex.
