My Trip to New York for All You Magazine
Earlier this week, I let you know I was heading up to New York City to meet with the editors at All You magazine and sit on a Mom Bloggers Panel during their annual sales conference. Let me tell you, it was so much fun, and so fantastic to hear from these editors who truly believe in delivering value to their readers.
It was also such an amazing opportunity to meet up with Briana at Bargain Briana, Mercedes at Common Sense with Money and Andrea at Mommy Snacks. That’s me above on the far left at eight months pregnant (I think if you saw me from the side I’d look much bigger!). They each had such tremendous insights both during the panel as well as during a lunch meeting we had with All You editors.
Big thanks to PR Director Jen Zawadzinski as well as Executive Editor Susan Spencer for a great couple of days and a fantastic dinner on Monday evening. The only downside to the whole visit was the four hour flight delay (including one cancelled flight!) on Tuesday, but I made it back to DC eventually.
I can’t say I was the model of prenatal nutrition Tuesday evening though since during my wait in the airport I had two cinnamon sugar pretzels from Auntie Anne’s, a 3 Musketeers bar and a Diet Coke. There were just no restaurants in Terminal C at LaGuardia. Will need to remember my own snacks next time!
One last note is that while we were there we learned that more than 4,000 of you have already signed up for the All You Grocery Challenge. Awesome! If you haven’t done so just yet, you have until July 12 to sign up. Good luck! And, don’t forget that you can follow All You on Twitter at @allyou.
