I can't wait to go to Staples this morning! My daughter is starting school this year and this deal is great!
Just a little heads up when printing the BIC coupons…
Only one coupon prints per page, along with a detailed description below. So, just in case you think like I did and choose 3 different coupons to maximize one sheet of paper, don’t, the coupons print out individually. I sure hope the coupons work at the Staples here in Houston. I barely go to office supply stores once a year so I have no idea what to expect when I present the internet printable coupons. “crossing my fingers”
I just got back and OMG! these people are IDIOTS! They emailed everyone the weekly ad with the $5 off $20 coupon on the fromt. but guess what, when the ads came. THERE WAS NO COUPON! And the manager had never seen or heard anything about it! He tried to tell me the coupon was only for ONLINE orders. Clueless! Now on the side of the ad it says $5 of $20 instore coupon, see front for exclusions, but there was no coupopn. I finally showed the manger how to pull up his ad on the Staples website (I swear he did NOT know how to do it) and there was the coupon on the ad. So he wrote the coupon code on my ad and thought he was through with the one crazy lady. Oh No! By the time I got back up to the register there were three other ladies and another man about to riot over no coupon. So the manager called corporate and they said just to use the coupon code off the website for everyone. So I got my stuff, made $11 after rebate, and we all lived happy ever after
Moral of the story, if you have not been yet, do a screen print of the ad showing the coupon and take it with you.

WOW Willowbeth - My newspaper flyer had the coupon, but the ones in the store do not. How did you make $11?? Do tell!!
I've seen coupon differences between newspaper and in-store ads before. For example, a couple of times CVS newspaper ad had a coupon to get a $25 gift card with a prescription, but the ad in the store did not include the same coupon. I'm pretty sure the reason for the coupon only being included in the newspaper ad, and not the in-store ad, is to offer more of a discount to individuals that buy the paper and to cut down on over-use/abuse of the coupon, and/or some individuals going in and taking a big stack to sell on ebay or something. When the coupon is only included in the paper, it evens out the playing field, in my opinion, and allows the store to continue offering great deals.
Maven,
I had a Staples reward certificate from turning in empty ink cartriges. I also used the Bic and White out coupons and will submit my paper purchases for the rebates.
There were NO Staples ads in our newspapers here, at least not the 8papers I bought or even the one delivered to my house! And no one else was bringing them in so I don't think anyone here in Tampa got them. The coupon is still showing on the online ad here.

I just left Staples in Davenport Iowa. They would not take my online coupons. The manager told me that printable coupons are not real coupons!! (whatever) I argued this point for a long while it got me nowhere. I didn't have a Staples ad in my Sunday paper for my $5 off coupon so I asked several store clerks no one knew what I was talking about!! I finally found an associate who told me the coupons are only in the paper sales ads not the in store ads. Then she had a sales ad with a $5 off coupon in it that magically appeared from behind her register!! hmmmmm I would say if your gonna go be ready for a fight, or just take your ad to Wal-Mart and price match there!!
Remember that Target is starting to price match too, so it might be worth it to avoid the headache & go there.
10 ct Bic Pen pkg's are $1 the mechanical pencils are $1.50 at my Walmart in TN. The coupons worked great there. As well as the $1 Nestle Pure Life Water coupon that made the 6pk free. The Tyson Skillet Creations were $5 and I was able to use the $1 coupon and have the Try Me Free Rebate. I also used the $3/2 Boxes of Ball canning jars because the qt. wide mouths had rolled back to $9 doz.
Oh, snap, I completely forgot about taking the Staples ad to Walmart for price matching. Thank you so much for the reminder and I know for sure the Walmart I go to sometimes seems to be pretty good at accepting internet printable coupons, unless it beeps, or with any type of coupon if the coupon value is more than the item rings up for, then forget about the coupon for me. Thanx again Kara
I went to the stples in new hyde park, long island, NY. They accepted the internet coupon no problem! I checked the in-store circular and they did not have a coupon in there. Also, read the small print carefully. The 1 cent deal on printer paper is a mail in rebate so if you're the type that may not follow up it's not worth it to buy it. The 1cent deal on the 8 pack of pencils is 2 per customer. I found their other prices even with the bogo were high so may not be worth the trip to do all of your school shopping. Stick to only the sale items and go to walmart or target for the rest they usually have really good prices.
Anyone having an issue with Bic's coupon site? It shows everything but the coupons... and clicking print or select all does nothing.
The Staples rebate for paper is NOT a mail only rebate. I just finished submitting mine online.
The Bic Q's seem to have reached the print limit as the page comes up missing any print links.
Yes, I'm having the same problem--no coupons showing.
My staples (AZ) wouldn't accept my BIC coupon.
couldn't get the q's for bic either. oh well, maybe next time
Just in case there are any subscribers here that haven't used their coupon yet...
It says $5 off on purchase of $20.
Then in the fine print it says, "Minimum purchase requirement of $100 must be met with purchases to which no other coupon or instant savings offer applies."
Maybe they won't read the fine print!

I printed 6 of the Expo coupons to buy the markers to donate to my child's school. The manager was a real jerk and wouldn't let me use more than one. He doesn't understand that each package is a purchase - grrrrrr.....
