Summer is nearly here and the kids are eager for school to be over for the year. Are your summer plans set yet? Mine are nearly complete and the kids are looking forward to camps, swimming pools and musical events.
Me, I’m looking forward to fee-free weekends at all 391 National Parks this summer, though at seven months pregnant I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to enjoy before my due date in early-August! So here’s the deal:
The National Park Service is offering free entrance to any National Park nationwide, including the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree National Park and Historic Jamestowne here in Virginia, on select weekends this summer. You can hit any of these parks June 20-21, July 18-19 and August 15-16 absolutely free. Thanks, My Frugal Adventures!

Turns out our local national park is already fee-free!
I learn something new every day!
Thanks so much for the info.
There are 165 National Parks participating, at least at the official website I visited.
Too bad there aren't more weekends involved. We are going to have to rush to get them all in!
