Hi Erin!
Thank you so much for your blog!!! I have learned alot and LOVE LOVE LOVE saving money. My teenage son hands out the Gillette shavers we get for free to his friends and they are amazed!
Quick question-for walgreens this week, you (and other bloggers) show BLINK drops for eyes as a 7.00 register rewards. But I do not see this advertised in the weekly flyer. Do they sometimes have unadvertised specials? How do you find out about them? I live in a suburb of Detroit, MI. Do you think that some of the regions do not have this? Thanks for all of your help!
Anonymous - I'm about an hour north of Detroit and I was able to do the Blink deal. My daughter shredded my ad so I can't go look and see if I can find it but the RR did print!
Thanks for the head's up on the Blink Tears - that is a great product and even better since it is FREE!
As of Sunday, 3/1, the Blink and Colgate register rewards were not printing at my store - system problem nationwide? Watch your purchase and make sure they come out, otherwise return.
I went to Walgreens yesterday.. I got a $3.50 RR for the colgate toothpaste!!! so more than it cost.. plus I used a 75c coupon.. so I got about $1 overage!
Because the toohbrush is 99c and the coupon is $1 off.. my cashier gave me a little "lecture" about how I am not supposed to do that, but she still put it through.. I just smiled, and told her "thank you". :)
LOVING saving money at Walgreens and getting stuff for nearly free!
Love your site... it has saved me a ton and helped to teach me to use coupons and utilize the Wags weekly deals! Thank you!
One I wanted to point out is from the EasySaver Catalog.
Save $4. on one Excedrin Menstrual Complete Express Gels, 20 pack. Plus use the coupon from Excedrin.com for $2 off any Express Gels and it makes it FREE!
$5.99 regular price
-$4. ES coupon
-$2. Man. coupon
= .01 overage
Just a quick note. The Sambucol rang up 11.99 at my Wags. Also I can't get the Ritz coupon to work. They keep telling me it is for a different size. But the coupon says any. I can't get them to budge!
Im soo bumbed. The WAGS here in UT arent doing to BLINK deal. I was really excited for that one! Oh well.. everything else seemed to work fine.
I live in the chicagoland area and tried using the easy saver coupons and printed manufacturer's coupons and was told that if the price went over i could only use one of the coupons - this happened to me for the excedrin and sambucol. My wag's apparently doesn't do overage and has "tranied staff who know the coupon policy". What am I doing wrong? Also, I did get the Axe shampoo/conditioner for $5.99, after tax was about $6.41....how do I apply this rebate to my easy saver to send in? I appologize I'm new at this all and just trying to learn from the pro's here! :)
Make sure for any overages you may have that you have a filler item (CHEAP) to cover the overage. This usually will work out- if your store allows it... 2 of mine do and 1 does not sometimes- depending on the mood someone is in! :(
Also, you need to make sure that you do not have more coupons than items. If you do then buy filler items for that as well. This week for fillers I used the Noxzema Bikini Shavers which are $2.99- $2 ESQ and also a carmel candy for 33 cents! Who doesn't need caramel! lol
I'm new to the world of using Wag's ESQ Book and was wondering if they acted as coupons one can use right away like any other coupon or if they are just rebates you have to mail in for to get that money back?
Sambucol at my store was $10.99!! So I got lots more off. Used $1 off Tide to get that for $5 plus the $1 RR back. And the Colgate Max rang up at $2.99 minus $1 off coupon plus $3.50 RR back! Plus got two more Total Care's for free with coupons.
Thanks to Froggy for the Express Gel comment! Will hit that one next week...
P.S. Forgot to mention, I read on another blog that somebody went to buy Blink and they were out of stock. The manager gave her a raincheck AND gave her the RR in advance!
I might have missed a good one - they had Sam-E for buy 1 get 1 free and I had $3 off coupons. Didn't realize that might have zeroed them out. Didn't check how much it was when I was there. Oh well. Another week, another deal!
