Win it Wednesday: Flip Video Camcorder

It’s “Win it Wednesday” and I’ve got a great prize for you today. But first, I’d like to congratulate mar who won the 20 free Banquet dinner coupons in last week’s giveaway!

Now onto this week’s prize -- a black Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder. I have one of these and love it – it’s so easy to use and a snap to upload videos to YouTube! I’ve taken it to dance recitals, birthday parties, you name it. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Just leave me a comment with the holiday memory you’d like to capture using the Flip Video camera if you won by December 9 at 8 p.m. ET. Good luck!

The memory I would most like to capture will actually happen just after the holidays. We will be adopting a baby boy when he is born sometime in early January. I can't wait to record his first moments with my daughter, and her reaction to her "baby brudder."

My husband and I got married in June of 2007. I have neglected to order our wedding pictures and my husband has INCESSANTLY asked me about it! Well, over the summer, I ordered the pictures but haven't told him. He has continued to ask me about them and even set a daily reminder on his outlook calendar to e-mail me and remind me! So yes, I get daily reminders from him! I am planning to wrap up the pictures and give them to him on Christmas morning. Seeing him open those pictures is going to priceless!!

Well, I dont want to put a sad face on so many good things, but we are going on my husbands 3rd open heart surgery. He had an aortic aneurysm. They fixed it but it is leaking again. (we have learned to deal in reality, if anything happens to his heart well...) He is 37. We have two sons. He served his country in the Army for 12 years. So he was gone ALOT. The surgery is scheduled for th 18th. So since the first surgery I try to capture everything with our sons and him. He was gone all the time so the pitures we do have are here and there for their first years of life. The camcorder we had stopped working. It records lines all across the picture. Knowing he will be out of work for about 3 months. There isnt money for any extras during this Christmas. So I would like to win this to continue to create memories for my sons....so that is why I would like to win this.

Videos help retain the memories, (no matter how precious they are) that eventually fade... We would be so blessed to have this... I would use it to capture the special bond between my step-dad who is 76 and has declining health due to Parkinson's and his grandchildren (my niece, age 5, nephew, age 6, and our son, who is an "special needs" adult)

I fear that after he is gone, their memories will be cloudy and distorted by his illness... He fears they won't remember him as he is now (which isn't to good- but will be much worse) He and the nephew LOVE airplanes and we got them a big book of planes to share this year (for Christmas), and they plan to go to the AF museum together. He and my neice love to snuggle. The three of them and our son do puzzles together.... All are priceless visual memories to warm the heart that we would love to capture, save and share together through the years.

I know how looking at pictures of the people who loved me- comforts me. Being able to watch a video and hear their voice and see them interact with loved ones would be invaluable....

Please award this to me so that I can be the family memory keeper and enhance the lives of current and future generations.... Thanks

I would love to capture our Christmas Eve moments with my family. We sing Christmas Carols around the piano and then knock on the neighbor's doors and sing to them.

We also frost cookies and read the 'Night Before Christmas in our holiday pajamas.

We love Christmas and have so many favorite memories, it's hard to highlight one. I guess what immediately comes to mind is cutting down our own tree. The kids LOVE this. They love getting to pick it out and help decorate it. We are going this Saturday and it will be the highlight of the week.

This will be my son's first christmas where he's big enough to rip the paper off of presents. He'll probably be more interested in that than the toys, but I want to get it on "tape" anyway. He's so much fun right now that I don't want to lose a minute of memories.

Great website. Thanks for the giveaway. I 've read several of the comments and there are lots of fantastic memories to be made this year!

We've been married 17 years and have an 11 year old & a 9 year old daughter & earlier this year we were blessed by a HUGE surprise when we had a baby boy. This is the 1st boy on my side of the family for at least 2 generations. This will be his first Christmas and I'd just love to capture these memories. Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

Today my husband had knee surgery. He seems a little down. I'd like to use the Flip Video Camcorder to record his everyday progress to cheer him up. I will be spoilng him so his recovery shouldn't be too bad. But I'd like for him to look at it and see how well he has done and bring a smile to his face.

I'd capture my husband singing me the Grinch song. He rarely sings to me anymore, but always sings the Grinch song without me even asking, because he knows it makes me laugh and laugh 8^)

You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
you have garlic in your soul,
Mr. Grinch! I wouldn't touch you with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!

Your contest made me dig out my old video camera (bought many, many years ago) and tapes to see some of the memories we captured for my two older boys. We got them playing in the snow, helping us put up Christmas lights, eating. A new camera would allow me to focus on new videos for my new baby, a 7-month-old who is gurgling, getting new teeth, and generally giving us a reason to smile. Thanks, Erin, for the opportunity to win a camera that seems so easy to use. What a great way to share milestones with relatives!

I'd definitely want to capture the mass hysteria that is Christmas at my in-laws. Think 18 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 kids under three, mountains of shredded paper (last year we actually lost my 1 year old niece under it!), christmas songs on the radio which you can barely hear above the noise of people talking, all crammed into my mother in law's living room (not a huge one, mind you!). It's madness but I love it :)

I would love to capture all of the Christmas memories starting with all of the traditions from Christmas Eve's Midnight mass to Christmas Breakfast with my in-laws and all of the nieces and nephews, then it's off to lunch with my Father's side and all of the nieces and nephews, and dinner with my Mother's side with all of the children.
Thanks for the chance.
