Win it Wednesday: Flip Video Camcorder

It’s “Win it Wednesday” and I’ve got a great prize for you today. But first, I’d like to congratulate mar who won the 20 free Banquet dinner coupons in last week’s giveaway!

Now onto this week’s prize -- a black Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder. I have one of these and love it – it’s so easy to use and a snap to upload videos to YouTube! I’ve taken it to dance recitals, birthday parties, you name it. Trust me, you’ll love it!

Just leave me a comment with the holiday memory you’d like to capture using the Flip Video camera if you won by December 9 at 8 p.m. ET. Good luck!

My holiday memory that my family has, has not happened yet. This Christmas promises to be the best memory of all. Our 2nd daughter is due to be born on Christmas Day. We have been so excited about her arrival and excited about the fact that she is due on Christmas Day. Everyone always says, "what a terrible birthday." So my family is changing that mindset and going to prove that being born on the same day as the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus, is the best day of the year to be born. Its not about gifts any more, it is about lives and people. I would love to be able to capture this memory with the new Flip Video camera so we can post our memory online with our family and others around the world.

We were finally able to buy our boys a swing set this year! (We did it the frugal way and bought the end of the season display, but we were able to get an otherwise out of our price set for a great deal!) We have it hiding in at a friend's house and will put the picture in a big box on Christmas, I can't wait!!

We have had a tradition in our family ever since I can remember. Instead of opening gifts, we go on a "money hunt." We have to read each clue out load, then go to the spot where we think the next clue is along with some money, ranging from a penny to dollars. My sister lives in FL and is bringing home the man that we all think is going to ask for her hand. Last year my mom thought of the idea that we would do this money hunt at the nursery home where my almost 90 yr. old grandma is staying. This time each "clue" was to do something for someone that was there that we did not know. We had to give them gifts, pray for them, and even sing a Christmas carol...all seperately...I really want to capture on camera what she has planned for us this year!!!

My brother has two adorable little girls, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. The 3 year old, Brooke, is so smart it's terrifying. We constantly tell our grandmother about her, but the stories cannot be fully believed without actually seeing it. Grandma lives out in Colorado and unfortunately isn't able to join us for the Holidays.

Brooke calls me "UB" which stands for "Uncle Brian", and I am pretty sure her goofy daddy put her up to it. Regardless, it's so cute hearing "Hey, UB! Come play Candyland with me!" "Hey UB! Will you go outside with me?!" I would really like to show Grandma some of these moments.

Sometimes Brooke is a little rough with UB. On Thanksgiving she thought UB was a trampoline, when he was actually just too full and trying to sleep.

The other little girl, Madeline, is absolutely a sweetheart. Their personalities are so different even though the girls look exactly the same. You really can't quite describe it without seeing it. She just giggles endlessly while she crawls across the floor, perfectly happy just to be awake.

Moments like these would make Grandma absolutely giggle and I think this camera would be perfect to show her. She's internet-savvy, afterall! A video mail wouldn't intimidate her at all!

We're spending Christmas in Kentucky with my folks this year, and are hoping for a good snow so lil man can play in it! We don't get that beautiful white stuff very often here in Texas, at least not enough to build snowmen! I would really love to capture lil man playing in the snow!

What a great giveaway, and how blessed are we to have the opportunity to win it! I don't have a sad reason for wanting this. It's not even for me, but would be a gift for my son. He loves making mini movies with our old camcorder, and it doesn't have the capability to download onto the internet. This would be an inspiring gift that would help him share his gift for making movies with others. This would also be a great way to communicate (actually seeing our kids) with all our relatives, who all live in another state, to actually see our children while they grow via the internet.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

I love the idea of making a montage of my children's xmas together. My daughter is 2 and my son is 1 (his first xmas). I would videotape the tree trimming with them helping, the decorations around our neighbor, a small town near us do a large display with Santa and large trees and decorating blocks. I would tape all of that and the xmas eve at their grandparents. Then their faces as they see the tree with all of the presents under it. What a great idea to look back at years to come.

We have a lot of things we like to do for the holidays. This year we're getting a new game system and some games my boys want. I'd love to film that. Last year we gave my oldest an Origami a Day calendar and his reaction was absolutely priceless. It involved him doing the best impression of Golem ever. "My precious" Moments like that are priceless.

We actually looked at this flip camera for said son. He wants to create lego movies and record how to do origami for youtube. It's just out of our pricerange. One day we'll get one though!
