how do you get the gift card? is it that the cashier know about the deal and they will give you the gift card, or is it a catalina that prints out for $5? pls reply me at mathalways@gmail.com thanks
I tried to do this today and my store was completely out of them. The advertisement by the products also said you had to buy some magazine...can't remember the name of it.
You must also purchase In Style magazine for this deal which is $3.99.
I bought 4 glade scented oil candles w/holder @ 2.50 each less 4 2.00 Q's and the mag. Spent $5.99 oop and received $5.00 gift card. Not quite free but cheap if you have the right q's.
The Glade site has BOGO coupons which you should be able to print twice and Krogers (among others) has "blinkies" for $2 off. Use 2 BOGO and 2 blinkies, pay $1 OOP and get a $5 gc. In LA, you didn't have to buy the mag (the cashier was prompted to do the GH after the four items were rung up). It's only on the "Holiday scents", but if they're out, just get a rain check for the $2.50 price and GC offer (if they'll write it out that way). Also, once you buy the candle holders, ther's another coupon in it, so you ould keep "rolling" this deal. HTH
Great deal! I'm definitely going to check this out. I have so many of these candles around my house though that I'm going to have to give them out as Christmas presents.
Does anyone know if this is at all Targets? I didn't see it in our ad. I live in the Dallas Texas area...
I also couldn't find the candle holders in the holiday scents and the ones I found were over $5. Any ideas? I'd love to get in on this deal before it is over! :)
My Target did not have a display or any sign showing $5 GC w/ purchase, but all of the holiday items were on a separate end-cap, most for $2.50. I used two B1G1 coupons, spent $5.00 for 4 kits and the cashier was promted to give me a $5 GC! I did not have to purchase any magazines, as there was no display indicating any special deal.
Thanks for the Link Love!!!1
Okay you've got to check out my Target deal! I had $14 in overage!
Went to Target and with the promotion you also had to purchase a $3.95 magazine to get the $5 gift card
I live in Orlando, Fl and my Target stores didn't seem to be running this deal...my BOGO Glade coupons were also for the starter kit and those were more than 5 dollars...bummer... thanks for letting us know about it though! :)

I did this today and ended up paying on .43 (tax) for the Glad Plugins! It said on the tag on the shelf that I needed to purchase In Style upon check out, but I went through just fine without it. The register pops up "scan gift card" after 4 of the plugins are scanned, then I used my BOGO coupons. Pretty neat!
