The 2009 Entertainment Book is in my hot little hands and I’ve got one to give away to one of my readers! Not familiar with the Entertainment Book? It’s a 400-plus page book full of coupons for your local area to save you thousands of dollars.
There are loads of 2-for-1 deals and coupons to save up to 50% off at restaurants, movie theatres, shopping, hotels, sporting events, dry cleaners and more. As a book-holder you can even go online to print out even more coupons at http://www.entertainment.com/.
Want to win a 2009 Entertainment Book local to your area? To be entered, just leave me a comment by Wednesday, October 15 at 8 p.m. ET and let me know what your kids (or you!) will be dressing up as for Halloween. I have little girls and I need some ideas!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 201 Newer› Newest»Great question Erin...
At this point, my littlest one is going as a skunk, as is her best friend (our neighbor's son) and our son is going to be Anakin Skywalker (thanks to our other neighbor's sewing skills).
I will probably be a witch or Maleficant from Sleeping Beauty and DH will probably be Jafar from Aladdin.
That's the plans for now, but you know how kids are with changing of ideas! LOL
Hi, I have a 3 year old son who wants to be a robot for Halloween!
heritage_lisa@yahoo.com
My grandson is going to be a skunk. He's so stinkin' cute!
My little guy is going to be a Koala in honor of his nickname!
Great giveaway. Thank you for offering it.
I don't have kids, but I'm dressing up as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. I have a dog that looks just like Toto (same breed and everything) so I'm going to put some bows in her hair and carry around in a basket with me. She'll love all the attention.
my 2 year old is going to be nemo and my 3 month old is going to be squirt!
We don't have any children, but my nephew will be a firefighter and my niece will be a ladybug. Too cute!
Thanks for the contest!
My son will be just over 3 months old on Halloween and he's dressing as Winnie-the-Pooh this year. I always loved the "silly old bear" and did his nursery in that theme too. My DS can pick whatever he wants in future years but this year, Mommy got to choose:-)
Thanks for a fun giveaway.
courtneyhunt71 (at) aol (dot) com
Great giveaway. My little boy is going to be a fisherman...probably doesn't help out for your little girls.
I have a 6 month old named Bob and he will be going as Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales. Not totally sure how we're rigging it up, though we're working on it.
If we still can't figure it out, we'll send him off as a deer. Bass pro has the most adorable costume, and he's crawling now so it works even better.
I have a 5 yr old daughter. She's dressing up this year as a 'bride'. We scored a flower girl dress at Goodwill a few weeks ago for $5.00 (would have been over $150 where this dress came from.) Last year she was 'Laura' from the Little House on the Prairie, I braided yarn into her hair for Laura's braids.
Great giveaway! My 18-month-old daughter is going to be a bumblebee. We found the cutest costume at a thrift store for $3!
capolenis22@yahoo.com
my 2 boys (3 and 4) are going as Batman and Robin. According to them I am going to be Catwoman and my husband is going to be the Joker :)
My little girl will be wearing a pink silk outfit someone brought her from China. I'm planning on piling her hair up on her head with some fun bows. I figured it was a good costume for the year the Olympics were in China.
Hayden will be a power ranger, and Hunter is going to be Buzz Lightyear. Last year, we got them monkey costumes for CHEAP from ebay.
my 17 month old is going to be a bumble bee ballerina with a black and yellow tu-tu! My twin neices will be Little Miss Muffet and Little Bo Peep. How cute is that?!
Thanks for the giveaway!
My daughter will either be Tinkerbell or a Princess. My son will either be Dash (from the Incredibles) or a Gladiator!
My husband and I are working a booth at our church Halloween event and the booth is centered around Candy Land so we will be dressed up as characters from the game. My two year old says he wants to be Moe Doodle from the Doodlebops.
I am going to dress up as a butterfly, simple and elegant!

My daughter loves monkeys.. so my husband is dressing as a monkey, and my daughter is a banana... how funny is that? I am so taking tons of pictures to show to the guys at my husband's work!lol.
I would love to win this book, last year's coupons expire next month. We use the fire out of that book! Love it!
My little boy will be dressing up as a dragon. We found the costume at the thrift store.
RLCGALLOWAY at msn dot com
I have this baby pumpkin costume that both my boys wore when the were tiny tots. Now, it's my Bebe Girl's turn. I'm going to stitch a Tiara to the top, put rhinestones on the face, and a tutu on the bodice--She'll be a Pumpkin Princess while still wearing the same costume they did...I like traditions :)
And I'm going to make a treat bag for her that says "Please give my treats to Mom for processing and distribution!" She's breastfeeding, haha....
BTW, I LOVE the Entertainment Book. Use them all the time!
My daughter is going to be a chicken. Got the costume 75% off last year at Old Navy the day after Halloween!!
paulasc60@hotmail.com
Hi! This is my first comment here- Well, I don't have kids, but I'm going to be a midnight-themed fairy this year. Little girls love sparkles and wings. (And so do I!) =)
My daughter is going to be Daisy Duck. It's such an adorable costume.
My girls (3 & 4) will be ladybugs. I bought the costumes on e-bay for less than $10 each, including shipping. It's a one-piece costume that slips over the head - they'll wear black turtlenecks and pants underneath. That's the plan, anyway.
Ok, not really a good idea for a young girl but right now I am thinking of "gretchen" the beer maid because my boyfriend has a keg costume so we thought it would be pretty cute!
We are doing a peter pan theme (we have both boys and girls)
boys-
Peter Pan
Hook
girls-
Wendy
Tinkerbell
Mermaids (we have two, but you can do as many as you like/need)
I would love a 2009 coupon book. I have a ladybug this year and a bumblebee!!
Megan
Well, my son insists he wants to be a urinal for Halloween. Oh, they joy.

Hi - I have 2 boys - One wants to be an army boy and the other want to dress up as Indiana Jones. I bought a wig (long hair with orange strips) so that is what I will be wearing. Thanks for all the great tips. I love your blog. Carmen Goddard c64g@yahoo.com
I have a 14 yo and a 15 mo who wont be going this year. My two boys are all about STAR WARS. One is a Starship trooper (i think that's what its called) and the other is yoda. My daughter is undecided - likely something involving a lot of lace =)
My kids are grown but the little girl I watch is going to be a vampire. I am not thrilled but she is. I would love to win that book. I have never purchased one before because I was not sure it was worth the money.
Thanks for the giveaway! My son will be a skeleton, and my 2yo twins will be kitty cats.
As 3 out of 4 girls do not go out anymore, I've done many different costumes. The youngest is going as a witch this year. ( not so creative, but she is happy) Some of the costumes from the past are: go go dancers using old dance costumes, cowgirls, Raggedy Ann, lamb, Tiger, clown, and stressed out housewife(with curlers in hair). I've seen kids as post office boxes, a box of soap, cats and dogs.
I hope this helps.
jcruschke@fuse.net
My grandson is going as Spiderman. He LOVES him some Spiderman. I really get tired of having to dodge all the webs he throws at me!
my two year old is going to be a panda
angbingham@gmail.com
I think my one year old is going to be a mouse. Maybe. If she grows into the costume in time.
I will be a witch and my little dog will be a princess pooch!
We don't do Halloween but I'd love to be entered in the giveaway - THANKS!
What a great giveaway! My two-year old daughter is going as a cowgirl. She likes to whoop, "Yee-Haw", so it'll be perfect!
mrs.schmid@gmail.com
LOL, I have 4 to dress up for Halloween. I am going to be mean mommy this year.....(not really) and since my husband is coming home from Iraq soon (and we are so busy), I am only letting them wear Halloween T-shirts. They will get to pick their own. This is just something we are trying this year. Thanks for the chance to win the entertainment book.

My son is going to be Super Man. He's only 9 months but has this crazy hair that we are going to be able to do the little twisty thing in the front. As for the hubby and I..no idea. Maybe some other super heros to go along with him.
Would LOVE to win this!
Well, it actually didn't register in my mind that I should start thinking about my costume until I read your post. I have to use items I already own. Perhaps Belle from Beauty and the Beast, or a stressed-out college senior who is sleep deprived and getting married in less than three months...oh wait, that's my real life.
My 1yr old son is going as a flying monkey, my 2yr old is going as Dorthy, my 4yr old is going to be the good witch, and I was informed that I get to be the Wicked Witch of the West. The dog (a yorkie) is also going along as Toto. :)
My daughter will be a baby peep. I would looove to win! c117(@)ymail.com
My son, Michael is going to be a pumpkin! He's only 7 weeks now and since its his first halloween I thought there is nothing more classic than being a pumpkin! It was really hard resisting that cute little Tigger costume I saw at BRU though!
As for me, I have a white/orange striped tank dress i'm going to wear with black leggings and flats. Then i'm going to put my hair in pigtails and do my make-up so I guess i'm going for the doll look! Dressed up - but not!
My boys are going to be a fireman and baseball player!
I'm pregnant and look to be induced on the 24th so I'm not so sure I will be going out trick or treating. But with Grandma and Grandpa being here to help they will be taking our 3 year old son out. He will be dressing up as a bug. We do have a little duck costume that I picked up at a yard sale for the new baby. We'll just see if we end up dressing her up. Thanks for offering this contest!
My daughter is going to be either
a princess (that would make it 3 years in a row!!) or a cheerleader.
I'm pushing for the cheerleader!
My boys want to be Bob the Builder and Thomas the Train :) Thank you for the giveaway!
Unfortunately, my 2 year old is having surgery and won't be able to participate this year :(. I guess you can say that she'll be the patient and I'll be her nurse. We are still planning on having some "tame" hospital fun though.
I've heard lots of good things about the Entertainment Book.
We will not be dressing up :~) My boys are in their late teens... Sorry, no great ideas from me, but thanks for a great bloggy giveaway!
Blessings,
Kath
My oldest daughter will be a cat. We picked up the ears and tail at Walgreens for under $5.00 and she will wear black pants and a black shirt she already has.
My second daughter is going to be a pirate because we have a hand-me-down costume from her cousin.
My third daughter is going to be a witch. I made the costume a few years ago.
My son is going to be a dinosaur because I found his costume on clearance last year after Halloween.
Thanks for the giveaway!
My little boy is going to be a lobster!
I have 2 boys and both want to be knights...I plan on making their costumes, and found cheap accessories at the $1 store.
I doubt I will dress up but when I was a kid, my mom was so creative... She always made my costumes. Once I was an M&M bag.. I was regular and she made herself a the peanut version.
Several years ago she made my brother into a stoplight.. It was cute, she just got a big box.. covered it with yellow paper and cut a hole for his head & then glued red, yellow, and green dots on it. Just recently I found a picture of it... http://www.flickr.com/photos/kiboda/2913803857
My little one keeps going back and fortth from a fairy, to a kitty to a pumpkin. I like the pumpkin idea but I know it is her decision. She will need to decide here soon before I am not able to find anything in her little size. (She can wear infant sizes but is almost 4). I don't usually dress up.

My oldest is 2 and a half, he is going to be a Harley Davidson Biker. We got him a cute 'leather' jacket on ebay that has a Harley on the back. He'll just wear it with jeans, and a bandana and some fake tatoos :)
My youngest is 1 and a half, and he is going to be a pirate. He has perfected saying 'Arggg!'
My 7 yo daughter is Queen Amidala from "Star Wars". My 5 yo daughter is Hermione from "Harry Potter". They both picked who they wanted to be. My one yo son is going to be a handy man with a toy tool belt and hard hat - Grandma's choice - she bought the stuff for the costume.

I am going as a ladybug and my husband is going to be an exterminator :)
My youngest daughter will be a slice of pizza. It's so cute, and my mom made it for me when I was little. My oldest wants to be a witch...we'll see if I can talk her into something else ;)

PS I would love that book! Being in college doesn't always give me a lot of extra money, so i like to use coupons whenever possible.
My one year old is going as a ladybug - I am working on the costume, we'll see how it will turn out. My three year old wants to be a bug. Hmmm...I'm not quite sure how I am going to make that, but I have a few ideas.
Thanks for the giveaway!

We have a myriad of costumes in our Halloween box, but I'm not sure what they're going to be yet! A clown? A chicken? A ghost?
We'll see! I love this time of year.

I'm sorry we don't celebrate Halloween. Would still love to win your giveaway though.

I think this is a great giveaway. I told my husband that I wanted one of these for our Anniversary which is on the 16th.
deane_williams at sbcglobal dot net
The baby will be a penguin because she's too small to fit into the duck costume. One of the dogs will be the devil. The other dog is going to be some crazy cross between a bunny and a ballerina. And mommy is going to go as a human.
My daughter, 4, is going to be a mermaid. She has worn her costume every day since we got it from Goodwill on Saturday.
My son, almost 2, will be a scarecrow. I hope. I got it at a garage sale and haven't tried it on him yet.
(I'm laughing so hard at the boy who wants to be a urinal)
I will have Price Caspian, an Arabian Princess and a fireman.
As for ideas, I saw an adorable home-made Angelina Ballerina in the Parent Scholastics mag.
I've got a princess (of course) and Elmo.
Both of my daughters are going to be witches. My 6yr old is going to be a good witch and my 5 yr old can't decide if she will be a good or a mean witch!!
rankin1997@hotmail.com
I LOVE these books...such great savings!
DD will be TINKERBELL this year...I'll reuse an old costume (I pin sponges to the front of my shirt & go as "self absorbed" LOL)
smithg8192@charter.net
Well, I have 2 boys and they will be Batman & Robin.
my older son is going as a ninja in all black. I told him he has to wear reflector tape
My younger son is going to be anakin skywalker.
Martha Stuart had a really cute little red riding hood costume idea that you make out of a red hooded sweatshirt. You can check it out on her website.
I'm a nurse so I still need to wear my uniform, but it will be bright orange with a Halloween vest overtop and my Frankenstein earrings.
I'd love to win a new Entertainment book!
I have 2 boys and 2 girls. The boys (5 and 7) are going as a knight and Indiana Jones. The girls are going to be Minnie Mouse and Cleopatra. I love Target's costume department!
basketmommy(at)gmail(dot)com
My son is going to be a chicken. I found the costume at Once Upon A Child for $8.00. It's on Old Navy costume!
My youngest is going to be Dorothy . Youngest son is going to be Batman. Not sure about the two older kids yet!
I will be dressing up as a disco dancer. I always find things I can use from around the house.
We have two boys so I'm probably not much help but here you go! Our 4 year old will be Spiderman and our 2 year old will be a spider. For some reason we like costumes that kind of go together - last year the older boy was a fire truck (made from a cardboard box) and younger was a dalmatian, the year before older was Superman and younger was kryptonite (well, ok, he wore a green onesie - he was only 3 months old!). Anyway this year is a bit of a stretch with the "going together" thing but it's fun anyway :) I'm a big fan of homemade costumes but have no time this year :(
Hello there - my 2 year-old is going to be Buzz Lightyear and my 3yo daughter - a princess (what else?) Not very original, but it's what they want!
I've got a little Dora and a tiny Tigger in my house. :-)
kellytwatson@yahoo.com
Great giveaway...we are still unsure of our costumes for Halloween but are considering having my husband and I as ghostbusters and our son as a ghost.
kimisslim at hotmail dot com
My daughter is going to be a doctor. She saw the costume at Gymboree and loved it. Last year she was Snow White. My son hasn't decided yet. Last year he was Indiana Jones and we created his entire costume from items at thrift stores.
Thanks for the giveaway!

My son is afraid of the dragon costume that I found on sale at Old Navy so I am going to try to make him a count costume from Sesame Street! He does a mean impersonation of the count "I Ah Ah Ah! 2 Ah Ah Ah..." you get the idea!
My 5 yr old son demanded this year to be donald duck, and so his 2 yr old brother then decided to be mickey mouse. I searched everywhere for costumes only to be subjected to buying them online at what I thought was a good deal until last week when the deal got better...oh well! i will have my mouse ears on with a red bow, my sister will be wearing a daisy hat and my hubby a goofy hat! This will be good!
I grabbed a zebra costume for my daughter during the post-Halloween clearance last year. She's taller than I guessed she would be though, so it's going to be just a bit short on her. Oh well.
beccachristensen at hotmail dot com
Well, my kids are getting to dress up twice this year, due to a cousin's first birthday party the weekend before Halloween.
My 6 year old son will be Batman, then for Halloween he is going to be Optimus Prime (Transformers)
My 3 year old daughter will be a punk rocker for the party, and a fairy for Halloween.
I will be going to the party as a cowgirl.
I'm also having my own birthday party the weekend before Halloween, but its an adult costume party, and I haven't decided what I will be yet....
My 3 year old DD will be Sleeping Beauty and my 1 year old DD will be a fluffy white bunny.
Fun question!
I don't have children yet ... but I'm going to be dressing as Little Boo Peep and my dog, Tess, will be a sheep. Our other dog will be Zero for Nightmare Before Christmas.
My seven year old has finally put away the desire for fairies and princesses and this year wants to be a vampire! So we're going over to the "dark" side with a really simple cute black outfit with fangs and some makeup.
I'm also glad her school is actually having a dress up party as many don't allow it any more. I enjoyed it as a child!
thriftyrocks AT yahoo dot com
My two year old is going to be a lion (bought from the consignment shop) and my 3 year old will be Minnie Mouse (a hand me down from my In Laws' friends).
We're going to dress our 2-year old up as a train engineer and decorate his wagon like a train.
the 11 month old twins are going to be a bumble bee and a lamb
I have 2 sets of twins, all 4 are boys. The plan is to go as the characters from Toy Story, Woody, Buzz, Hamm, & Wheezy. Just got to find a penguin costume though:) thanks for the great giveaway
My 2 y/o will be dressed up like a dog we got a hand me down costume. He's a bit too young (and still in the shy around strangers phase) for lots of candy. So... he'll likely help me give candy away.
I have a Minnie Mouse, a princess and a puppy dog. Thanks for the great site and giveway!
My kids are grown but my granddaughter will be dressing up as tinkerbell.
Well...I'll have a vampire, a transformer, a superman (baby), and a
vampire-pirate (um...don't ask). Thank goodness for early shopping at thrift shops.
My boys are thankfully going to save me some bucks this year. My oldest is going to be a football player (he's playing football this fall). My youngest is going to be a Karate Master (he's in Karate this fall). My husband is going to be a soldier (yep, he's in the army). And well I think I'm going to be a "MOM". Or maybe I'll wear my fave shirt that says "I don't do costumes" :)
My 2 month old boy is going to be a cow. My 2 1/2 year old daughter wants to be a princess, although she pointed out the Little Red Riding Hood outfit in the advertisements I showed her.
We LOVE the entertainment book! I'll have a transformer (8 yr old boy) and a cute kitty cat (21 month old girl) on my hands this year!
Thanks so much!
Leigh Brantley
lbrantley3@nc.rr.com
I don't have any children... but I am your brother. C'mon Erin, that should count for something. HA!
If it helps, I guess Mary Kate and I could dress our cat up as something for Halloween. I don't think he'll like it too much though.
I am dressing up as a witch to give out candy at the door. "Would you like some candy, my pretty?!" lol
No children yet, but my friends and I are going as the characters from Peanuts!
My 5 year old is going to be a swat team cop. And my little guy is going to be a dragon!
jen_clemmer@hotmail.com
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I don't have any kids but I have a dog that is like our child. I'm dressing up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and I'll carry my dog in a little basket. She's white with black ears so I'm looking for a little black sweater for her.
My DD is going to be a cat. I found an outfit from TCP at a consignment sale. It is a leopard print, long sleeve, velour top and matching yoga style pants. It's perfect and was only $8. I am going to use black fur trim for the tail and DD doesn't want ears! LOL!
I am going to be a witch. I had bought orange and black striped tights on clearance last year and some purple Halloween slipper socks. I then found a witch hat at Walmart for $1, a black dress at Target for $7.48 and an orange long sleeve shirt at Target for $7.
18 month old DD is going to be a bumblebee-seems like a popular one according to these comments! I got the body of the costume on ebay, and I already have a black turtleneck for her, so I just need to get black tights & we're set! Thanks! (I love the Ent. Book-I get it every year!)
My 5 year old daughter wants to either be Padme from Star Wars (her brother is a Jedi night), or Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, she cannot make up her mind, and as the time grows near I might have to make it up for her, lol.
I don't have kids but my niece is going to be a piece of pizza :)

I am personally not dressing
up for Halloween. My grandson is
dressing up as his favorite
transformer. He will go trick or
treating with mom and dad, then
of course come over to see
Grandma for pictures and
cider, and of course a goody
bag. I hope you and your
family have a great halloween.
Thanks so much for this
opportunity to win one of
those entertainment books. It
would be great, I never have
one, but I heard they save
you alot of money.
We are still in the throes of deciding what to do. My daughter wants me to buy her a costume but I KNOW we can come up with something good on our own! Right now we are thinking witch or vampire princess. We have some black leggings that we are going to strip with red fabric paint (stripes going around the leg) and pair with a small black dress. We can streak her hair with washable black color. From here we can add a black hat with face make up for a witch or face make up for a vampire princess (and a tiara). Either way, it will be more fun to trick or treat with a costume that is homemade than store bought!
My daughter is going as a princess. She is all about the tiara! And my 9 month old son is going as his dad. They look incredibly alike (both somewhat bald!) so we are going to dress them alike and give him a 5 o'clock shadow like his dad! Should be cute!
Would LOVE this book! jarrodandkim(at)hotmail(dot)com
My son switches from spiderman to a witch to superman every day! I may have to just throw on a sheet the day of Halloween if he doesn't decide soon!
My 4 1/2 year old daughter will be Marie from Disney Arisocats. By 2 year old son will be Bob the Builder. I bought the Marie costume on CraigsList for $15 and overalls/top at a thrift store for $8.00. I was so happy that I only spent $23 on two outfits.
My son is a skeleton pirate (which he has been planning since LAST Halloween) and my daughter a princess. :)

My fiance and I don't have children yet, but we are attending a few different halloween costume parties as Ketchup and Mustard!
Hi! I'm Connie and I'm from California. I have 3 kids. My oldest is 17 so he isn't going to be dressing up. However I do have 10 yr old twins who are. My son is going to be a nerd and my daughter is going to be either a hippie or a 60's girl.
Hi, We don't celebrate Halloween, and I have two boys who would probably want to be pirates or something anyway... :) But I love the Entertainment books! We used to get one for Christmas from the place I worked before the little ones came. It was great for having a treat every now and then and still keeping within our seminary budget.

I'm dressing up as a hippie this year. I know, I know - not that original. But I saw the awesome patchwork skirt in the Party City flyer, and I've never been a hippie before so I couldn't pass it up!
I don't have kids, but I really want to dress up my dogs this year as little princesses! I think it would be really cute.

I only have boys, so I won't be too much help. My 1 yr old is going to be a penguin...cute costume, I just got at Kmart for $15. My 2 yr old wants to be a knight, and my 4 yr old wants to be a penguin...but I can't find a reasonably priced penguin costume that will fit him (he's a tall kid), so I think we're going to have to come up with a plan b!

My 4 year old is having a hard time deciding between a flower or mulan??

Hoping luck comes my way and I win!!
Our costumes would be:
2 little monkies, 1 fairy princess
And my husband and I should dress up like well-rested parents... :) It's nice to look that way at least once a year.
I don't have kids yet, and won't be dressing up for Halloween this year. I did dress up a couple of years ago as an angel!
My little darling want to be a princess.
My two oldest daughters are going as "diamond princesses". They recently saw the new Barbie movie. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to pull that one off yet.
But I do have a great tip. I found the cutest glow stick wands at Dollar Tree. They are pink and have a star at the top. Safety, style, and only a dollar...you can't beat that! :)
We have a dress-up box and my boys are choosing their costumes from there--completely frugal! My baby will be a pumpkin (same outfit that my boys both wore as babies).
My 1 1/2 daughter is going to be a pirate. A pretty ladylike pirate but still a "YoHo" She's very excited so I guess DH and I will both be wearing eye patches to get in on the fun.
Love your blog! I just found it during a verrrry long bout of blog-hopping. My daughter is dressing up as a 60's GoGo Dancer.
These ideas are so cute!
My godson is going to be NANANAANA BATMAN! He is all about comic book characters! Hope everyone has a great Halloween & congrats to whomever wins ;)
We're going to try to construct a gumball machine for my 11 year old daughter.
I have a boy so excited to be Ben 10, another boy being Batman and a little girl being an adorable pink cougar!
Shooper@fuse.net
Well, we have a lot of options for the kids, because we did a neighborhood halloween costume swap a few weeks ago, so now they have these plans:
5 year old will either be Clifford the big red dog or a power ranger.
7 year old is going to be a pencil, unless I can talk her out of it.
9 year old is going to be a witch, a 50's girl and/or Giselle from Enchanted.
And the teenagers are on their own.
I would love to win a Happenings book.
My little boy is going to be a spider!

Let's see...9 year old daughter going as an evil fortune teller, 7 year old is a devil, 4 year old a vampire and 2 year old a Power Ranger. I'll be a sweet kitty.
My daughter will be Pebbles Flintstone. She's got the most perfect little pony tail up top, just like Pebbles!
I have little girls, too. We will be out of town for halloween this year, so we aren't spending as much time on finding outfits. Our girls will most likely dress up as princesses.
Well,I don't have children, sad for me,and I no longer dress up for Halloween, but the last time I did,I was a sexy black cat.I wore black fishnet hose and black high heels.A black leotard and a matching dancers skirt.I did my own make up and it resembled more f that from the production of "Cats" then just painted on whiskers.I bought a set of ears. This was one of my favorite costumes.I have also been a "Crazy Scientist". A long lab coat worn over whatever is comfey and I used spray on hair color and had blue & green hair that I had teased up pretty high....lots of hairspray.I had plastic test tubes with corks and put colored water in them along with the mini glowsticks. For special effects,i had a small block of dry ice,but that was a bit to much to keep up with and can give you a nasty burn.

My 4 year old wants to be what she was last year (must have fond memories!) :) I didn't mind because I have just started this frugal thing and that means she saved me $15 on a new costume! She will be the toothfairy...in pretty white dress (she wore in a wedding) with a wand. I printed a big tooth and put it on both sides of the wand. As far as she's concerened, the toothfairy is a super hero! :)
Hello Erin,
I am a 23 yr old wife. No kids. My husband is an airline pilot so (of course) he will be out of town on halloween. I will be going solo as a....drumroll.....Roulette Wheel! Yes, you heard it right, I am dressing as a roulette wheel. It is the cutest costume I found on clearance online!
My little girl is going to be an '80's aerobic instructor. It was really cheap to make. I just bought a long sleeved onesie, tights, leg warmers (in the adult section) and some arm bands and head band. The whole outfit was about $10 and she can wear the stuff after Halloween!
This will be my first time dressing up in probably 10 years. I recently lost 100 lbs and am starting my new life and can't wait to dress up this year. I am thinking of a mad (sexier) scientist theme. My kids are 19 & 23 and recently moved out (YEAH) and not sure if they are dressing up yet! TY also for having this opportunity for your readers! You rock!
DD is planning on being a vampire bride this year (she's a tween), but in her younger and cuter days, she has been
Tinkerbell
Dorothy from Oz
Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty and
a Ladybug
If I dress up, I will go as Gum Under a Chair. Pink Sweats with gum wrappers attached to the shirt and a Barbie chair glued to my headband.
Both my 16 month old and my 3 and 1/2 year old are going to be Snow White. My Older Daughter is sooo excited that they are being the same princess. For Easter, my oldest got a set of Princess wigs from Lillian Vernon. The wig coupled with the incredible dress from Wal-mart that was reasonably priced...And since she loves to dress up I know she will use the dress for years to come (and then there is her sister still to come)...
Thanks for the contest.
Cameron
Forgot to add...This year I will be Dolly Parton and DH will be Burt Reynolds. Last year was my favorite - I was a Prarie Women, Youngest Daughter was a Horse, Oldest Daughter was a lamb and DH was Mary, wig and all (then we had Mary and her little lamb).
my twin girls will be princess!
would so love to win that book! :)

Oh, I love this giveaway! My kids will be Captain Hook and Tinkerbell. I guess I could dress up as Peter Pan, well, maybe the husband will! LOL That won't happen! ;)
Oh, I'm so unoriginal. No costume for me and my 3 oldest girls will be witches (I bought the costumes last year on clearance for $2 each at target) My baby girl will just be a hand me down costume out of our stockpile.
We have no idea what we're going to be for Halloween yet. I have twins and love to do a theme with them, but I'm drawing a blank this year. So I'm just going to read all of the comments as well and hope something sticks out!
My son will be Darth Vader which I picked up for 4.99 at a consignment store!!! I used a store credit to purchase so it cost me $0 OOP!
Well, we don't celebrate Halloween, but I sure would like to win an Entertainment book. If we did celebrate my 3-year-old would be a princess because she's obsessed with them. The 1-year-old would be a ladybug and the 4-year-old would be a superhero either Spider Man or Batman. My teenager, 17, would probably do Tinker Bell or Betty Boop and I would love to be Storm from X-Men. :D... Guess I thought about this some, huh?
My 3 yr. old girl is going to be Cinderella and my 10 month old will wear an Eeyore outerwear w/ a tail and ears. Last year my dd was a lion - free costume from a friend and the year before, she was an angel. I bought wings and a halo for $2.50 from Target dollar bin and put her in a little skirt, shirt, and white tights. I decided to splurge this year.

Two of my sons will be dressing as pirates and one daughter will be a bride. The other two have decided they are too old for dressing up :-(
We're trying to decide between Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle, or Peanut and Plain M-n-M's. We always do a theme and I only have two left of trick or treating age.
I'm a kid at heart. I am 25, and planning on hanging out with my younger sister-in-law and we are each dressing up as Care Bears! Something near and dear to my heart from my childhood. We're just buying solid sweatshirts, painting the chest logo on them and adding ears on the tops. Comfy, fast, and easy!
my 2 month old is going as a pumpkin.
We're dressing my son (19 mo) and my niece (23 mo) as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Cat in the Hat! They pretty much act the parts whenever they're together, so it seemed appropriate :)
My daughter wants to be a butterfly, so I will be attempting to make up her costume with lots of tulle and some wings from Claire's...then of course my 6yr old son changes his mind every week, so his is still unknown...lol
Thanks for the great giveaway!
I don't have any kids and I'm not planning on dressing up myself, but my best friend's little girl is going as a skunk - "little stinker"
We're sponsoring a Halloween party thing, so I have to dress up this year. I'm thinking I might go as a crazy cat lady...cuz I kinda am already.
I have three kids. My oldest daughter and son are going to be pirates and my middle daughter is going to be tinkerbell. So cute! My husband and I are going to be an old married couple! ha ha ha
Yes, I have a 2008 ET book, and since it expires in Nov. have been eating out every day! I especially love the take out orders, or 50% off total bill coupons because it ends up being cheaper (and tastier) than fast food!
Although my daughter (aged 1-1/2) can't eat candy yet, she is scoring some free candy for her parents in this little chicken costume!

We won't be dressing up this year but ideas for you are to be the Grand Coupon Queen, a little girl could be a Coupon Princess to match her mom and a boy could be a Action Hero Super Saver!

How fun! My daughter (8) is going as a devil in a red dress. My son (7) is going as a clone ranger with a PVC-pipe space gun that my husband made for him. Hopefully the weather will cooperate here in upstate NY!
