I stopped in at CVS this morning and noticed signs throughout the store touting “New, lower prices on 1000s of items.” I asked the cashier and she said in fact they are lowering prices but was not sure on which items.
Have you seen these signs? Noticed any items in particular that appear to cost less? What do you think about this new “lower prices” strategy?

As great as that might sound, it doesn't affect couponers, since we only buy things on super sales anyway!
I have not heard about this, but seems like that will help the ECBs stretch even further--when we are buying the necessities like milk, that are hard to find on sale!
Also, I was in the store yesterday stocking up on 90% clearance deals, and no signs posted. I'll be on the lookout.
I went this morning and my closest CVS was remodeling. Taking down shelving and moving everything around. It was a big ol' mess. I turned around, walked out and went to the other one a few miles away.
My CVS has a sign outside the store mentioning their new lower prices. I've noticed that some of the lower priced items are CVS brands. I didn't look thoroughly for the lower priced items, but I did notice that lower priced items have special tags on the shelves stating the "before" and "new" prices (kinda like Walmart does with rollback prices). I don't necessarily pay attention to the prices because I'm going after the sale, super cheap, or FREE items on my list! :)
I have only been once this week and I was in and out, didn't really shop.I still need to go,so I'll look around.I agree that it will help our ECBs go further and it will help the bottom line if the lower prices are on national brands and not just store brands.Sometimes you need something that isn't on sale and you have a decent coupon for it,but don't want to drive five miles to get it $1 cheaper(gas cost),so might as well buy it at CVS :)
