If it’s Sunday, it must be time for the $5 Charity Challenge! Congratulations again to last week’s winner – Andrea at Mommy Snacks.
This week I’m going to make a few modifications to the $5 Charity Challenge. First, I’m going to give readers more time to participate. Rather than choosing a winner on Tuesday evening, I’ll choose a winner on Friday evening at 8 p.m. ET.
Second, rather than asking for a Mr. Linky, you can enter the giveaway by simply leaving a comment with the name of the charity you’d like to support using a gift card from Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid.
Local charities are often in need of shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, light bulbs, baby wipes, household cleaners, trash bags, etc. And of course don't forget non-perishable food items and pet food for food pantries.
If you’re the winner, just take a photo of what you bought using the $5 gift card and either send me a link to the blog post you write about the charitable donation or just email me the photo and charity name. I’d love to promote your good work.
Thanks again your participation and good luck. Check out BeCentsAble for another opportunity to participate in a Charity Challenge.

I'd love to make a donation of treats and pet food to our local animal shelter. I adopted my dog from there and I would love to help out the other animals until they can find them a great home.
Erin, what a great idea! I love making $5 stretch...especially at CVS!
Stop by my blog for The CVS $5 Challenge!

I would love a $5 CVS card to buy stuff for the Jimmie Hale Mission here in Birmingham.

They do great work with the homeless, substance addicts, abused women and children, and other wonderful causes.
Thanks for doing this! It's a great idea to spur on others to donate extra free stuff!
The charity I would be donating to with the $5 CVS giftcard will either be the USO or some other similar charity here on base. Not sure if the USO takes donations (don't see why not), but if they don't, I'm sure I can find someone on base that will take the items for either the guys here or to make care packages for those overseas.
My Donation would be to the USO. My husband is a Marine and I can't begin to tell you how much the military personally out there look forward to care boxes. Sometimes that's all the mail they would get. I would love for a chance to bring a smile to their faces, espically the woman serving. You can just imagine how hard it can be just being in the desert and to top that off having your speical time of the month. I would love to be considered for this giftcard and to have the opertunity to spread a little joy around the world. Thank you for this offer! Bridget
I would donate to operation homefront. My husband is in the army and i know how great it feels when we all help eachother out. We are a big family and sometimes we have stressful days knowing our spouses are in harms way. It is special when we can do something nice for one another as a moral booster for the spouses keeping down the fort.

I would love to donate the $5 gift card to our HOPE CENTER. As a single mom of four, I have used their services to get us through from time to time. It would be nice to give something back.

I would get school supplies when they go on clearance (at 75% or 90% off seasonal school stuff sometime in September that $5 CVS card will go a long way!) and donate them to my daughter's school. Teachers can always use more supplies and we try to support them any way we can.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I would use it to give to the shoebox ministry of Samaritan's purse.
Thanks!

My mom is a school nurse at the poorest elementary school in the city of Rochester (NY). They always need clothes, especially pants and undies, for when the students have an accident. They are also always in need of hats, gloves, socks, and school supplies. If I were to win, I would use a $5 gift card to Wal-Mart and challenge myself to find as many things I can on clearance, clothing-wise and then use any difference on their low-price school supplies.
OOPS!! forgot my contact info...

My church is opening up a brand new preschool and I would use it to get them some much-needed school supplies!
:)
What a wonderful idea! I would love to win a $5 CVS card to buy for either my local crisis pregnancy center or our county's food bank. (It would depend on the sales!)
I'd love to enter. I want to give mine to the Hazard Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Relief Society. They are trying to make 150 Hygiene Kits to give to people in need (fires, natural disasters etc.)all over the world.

$5 Cvs card
I just won last week, so I don't think I can win again, but if I did I would combine a Kroger or CVS gift card with my coupons to donate as much as possible to our local food bank. They always need cereal and hygiene items. The people who once donated to them are now in need of their help, and they get fewer and fewer donations. I try to spend at least $5 each week with my coupons to help fill their shelves.
I have been taking items to Dmestic Violence and Room at the Inn since I stated couponing in May and have some coupons set aside for the local animal shelter that are waiting for a sale. I would love to be able to futher help any and all of these with the best deals available.
I would love a CVS gift card to use for OASIS, a chairty in my area that ministers to women employed in the sex industry. They make gift baskets of toiletries and beauty items for the women and also put on events for their children.
